Within his professional practice, Attorney Gonzalez has provided consulting, planning and dispute settlement for domestic and international clients, both public and private sectors. In view of this, he has been linked with clients that are industry leaders, such as: Ecuacorriente S.A., Islas Galápagos Turismo y Vapores C.A., BJ Services Company S. de R. L., General Electric International Inc., as well as international organizations such as: OAS (Organization of American States) and American Red Cross.
Amongst his most notable cases, participated in some labor restructuring of nationwide companies and from diverse industries such as food, hotel and services, in which up to 3,600 workers were involved simultaneously. He has also participated in multiple processes of labor audit, which allows companies to clearly identify those risks or exposures that are advocates of their current operation as well as an ongoing consulting process on the day to day relationships between a company and its human capital.
Regarding its litigation practice, Leopoldo Gonzalez has performed before various courts and judiciary entities, especially in labor issues, civil, administrative litigation and arbitration. His experience enables to show that he have successfully litigated in different locations of the country, including the cities of Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Galapagos Islands, Ambato, Lago Agrio, Yantzaza. The previously gained experience has allowed him to identify the particular ways of interpreting procedural law in each area of our country, strengthening the advice capability to our clients, but always under the premise that effective counseling can minimize the litigation, or at least enhance the possibilities of success of our customers.
He has been the leader of the Real Estate Department within the Firm, committed to developing several legal products related to the area from simple real estate transactions to structuring complex real estate businesses.
Before PAZ HOROWITZ, he was part of the legal department of the Consumer Tribune, where he could keep in touch with issues under the Act on Protection of Consumers and Users, approached from the side of affected consumers.
