PAZ HOROWITZ has a long-standing commitment to community service.
We believe that our lawyers have the moral duty to give back to the communities
where we live and work. Both as individuals
and as a law firm, we work for the improvement of the local bar and the country’s
system of justice. Our personnel volunteer
free time to a variety of charitable organizations and many of our attorneys serve
as officers, directors and trustees of such institutions.
PAZ HOROWITZ attorneys and staff members have provided community service to the
following organizations and efforts:
- Junior Achievement
- Fundación Jatun Sacha
- Fundación Maquipucuna
- Fundación Parque Metropolitano
- Prison Brotherhood
- Shuar Indian Federation
- Amazon Region artesian cooperative
- Montecristi panama hat weavers
-
Suecia Park

- Collection of clothing and food
for victims of Tungurahua Volcano eruptions.
- Indigenous federation in the
Ecuadorian Amazon Region
- Christmas meals and gifts for
the school children in several impoverished communities around
Quito
.
PAZ HOROWITZ strongly encourages all of its attorneys to engage in pro bono legal
work. Such work has included representation
of charitable and non-profit organizations, collaboration with legal aid societies,
and the provision of direct legal services to the indigent.
Our attorneys have found their pro bono work to be some of the most rewarding experiences
of their professional lives. Not only
does pro bono enrich their lives while providing an important community service,
it helps us further develop our practical legal skills.
The service we provide to pro bono clients includes the same high degree of care
and quality given to our paying clients.
